CURRENT ACADEMIC STATUS AND EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND	PhD in Sports Sciences, with a long academic and professional career in the fields of physical education, sport and sports sciences. He completed his university studies at the Higher Institute of Physical Culture “Vojo Kushi” and pursued continuous postgraduate training, including a two-year postgraduate school (SH.P.U.). The title “Associate Professor” was awarded in 2021, while the degree “PhD in Sports Sciences” was awarded in 2013. His academic profile combines expertise in sports sciences, training methodology, and physical performance development.
POSITION	He currently serves as a faculty member at the “Barleti” University (UniBa), where he has been actively involved in teaching, academic leadership, and the management of sports-related academic units. Throughout his career, he has held several administrative and leadership roles, including Head of Physical Education Sections, Head of University Sports Centers, Course Coordinator in Scientific and Professional Master’s programs, and Technical Director in sports institutions and professional football clubs. Alongside his academic career, he has been continuously engaged in Albanian football structures for several decades, serving as a youth coach, national youth team coach, and Technical Director at Football Club “Dinamo”.
CONTRIBUTIONS	Associate Professor Dr. Bashkim Delia’s research activity focuses on sport sciences, training methodology, physical preparation in football, interval training, muscle strength, physical activity and health, and the educational and social role of sport. He is the author and co-author of numerous scientific articles, conference papers, and research studies presented at national and international conferences across Europe, including Italy, Hungary, the United Kingdom, North Macedonia, and Albania. He has also contributed as a co-author to scientific and encyclopedic books and has published in peer-reviewed sport science journals. His academic work reflects a strong integration of scientific theory and professional pract ice in sport.
ACTIVE ENGAGEMENT AND DEVELOPMENTAL AREAS OF INTEREST	Associate Professor Dr. Bashkim Delia is actively engaged in teaching, professional training, scientific conferences, and research projects, with a particular focus on: education and teaching at different levels; didactics and methodology of physical education and sport; physical and technical–tactical preparation in football; physical and educational development of children and youth; sport as a tool for education, health promotion, and social inclusion; identification and development of sporting talent. His long-standing academic and professional engagement demonstrates a sustainable contribution to the development of physical education and sport in Albania, promoting professionalism, scientific research, fair play, and the education of future generations.
