ACADEMIC TITLE AND POSITION Dr. / Lecturer
CURRENT ACADEMIC STATUS AND EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND Dr. Florina Pazari holds a PhD and is a university lecturer with over 14 years of experience in higher education. She is currently in the final stage of obtaining the academic title of Associate Professor. She has completed her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Geography at the University of Tirana, as well as doctoral studies in the field of territorial development and sustainable tourism. Her academic activity includes teaching, scientific research, student mentoring, and curriculum development.
POSITION Head of the Department of Tourism, Hospitality, and Recreation at Barleti University. Executive Director of the Albanian Institute for Public Research. Director of the Barleti Institute for Research and Development (2021–2023). Actively engaged in academic leadership, quality assurance, institutional development, and the management of research projects.
CONTRIBUTIONS Author of more than 25 scientific publications in indexed journals and author/co-author in over 35 national and international scientific conferences. She has made continuous contributions to studies on sustainable tourism, cultural and natural heritage, GIS, and rural development. She has been involved in research projects funded by national and international programs.
ACTIVE ENGAGEMENT AND DEVELOPMENTAL AREAS OF INTEREST Active in national and international academic and professional networks, contributing to scientific research development, innovation, and sustainable tourism policy. Lecturer in Bachelor’s and Master’s programs in tourism, geography, and territorial planning. Contributes to the design of study programs, syllabi, and teaching materials. Supervisor for Bachelor’s and Master’s theses and mentor for students and early-career researchers. Engaged in EU-, UNDP-, and regionally funded projects focused on destination development, biodiversity, agrotourism, community empowerment, and digitalization in tourism.
