ACADEMIC TITLE AND POSITION	MSc. / Assistant Lecturer
CURRENT ACADEMIC STATUS AND EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND	Graduated from the State University of Tirana, Faculty of Foreign Languages – Department of English Language, in 1986. He completed intensive training courses in Diplomacy and International Relations in Switzerland (1994) and the United States (1995), as well as a Senior Management and Leadership course at the PAMECA Mission (2004) (Police Assistance Mission of the European Community to Albania) in Tirana.
POSITION	He is currently an English language lecturer at Barleti University in Tirana and part of the staff of the AIPA Institute of Barleti University. His professional career has been a coexistence of teaching English and diplomacy. He has taught English at various levels (high school, public and private universities, professional training centres, etc.) and has represented the Republic of Albania as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the United Nations (UN), the OSCE, and to the United States of America, Mexico, Panama and Argentina. He has also worked for international organizations present in Albania such as UNHCR, and for EU police advisory missions in Albania, including MAPE, ECPA and PAMECA.
CONTRIBUTIONS	He possesses strong management and communication skills and has experience in project management, drafting speeches and talking points, recommendations, and related work. He is able to work both individually and as part of a team, including in multicultural environments. He made significant contributions to lobbying and finalizing the TAP (Trans Adriatic Pipeline) gas pipeline project; to finalizing the agreement facilitating the U.S. visa regime (issuance of multiple-entry, multi-year visas); and to lobbying efforts for international recognitions of Kosovo. He also compiled and published “A practical guide for managing and leading human resources in times of change.”
ACTIVE ENGAGEMENT AND DEVELOPMENTAL AREAS OF INTEREST	He is active in national and international academic and professional networks. He participates in AIPA Institute projects and is a co-founder of the Council of Albanian Ambassadors.
